S&W M60 Performance Center 2inch Ver.2.1 Stainless Finish
The "Performance Center" (PC), Smith & Wesson's custom division, was established in 1990 by two skilled in-house gunsmiths. Initially, its purpose was to produce competition-specific models based on existing S&W firearms. However, with the acquisition of dedicated CNC machines, it evolved into a process of designing and manufacturing models from scratch, with prototypes exclusively sold to distributors. Currently, its activities span a wide range, including the production of premium models in S&W's regular lineup, limited edition products, uniquely designed models, models with added special features, and repairs of standard line products. Regardless, all manufacturing is handled by specialists with handgun shooting experience, and their high level of technical expertise remains unchanged.
Tanaka also previously released PC series products, but with the introduction of the "M360" series, the J-frame PC series model guns were discontinued. This time, Tanaka will release the "M60 Performance Center 2inch," a popular gas gun, as a model gun. Previously, only a re-released HW model of the M36 was available, but this M60 will be released in a new stainless-style plating version to accurately replicate it. The internal mechanisms have also been upgraded from previously released models for smoother operation and more realistic engravings, appearing as a Version 2 model gun.
