Tanaka SIG P229 ".357SIG" Evolution 2 "Warm Silver Coating" All-HW Model Gun (New Release: December 10, 2025)

The SIG P229 features a durable stainless steel slide for powerful ammunition, such as the .357SIG and .40SW. While its appearance and size are similar to the P228, which is chambered for the 9mm Parabellum, compatibility is limited, making it essentially a separate model.
Until then, pressed steel slides were the norm for SIG pistols, but with the introduction of the P229, stainless steel slides became the standard, and production of the P228 was discontinued and it has now been integrated into the P229.
At the time of the P229's development, stainless steel, which was also used for the slide, was becoming common, but many people placed importance on aesthetics, and a small number of factory-made models with a satin nickel plating were produced. This model is an all-silver model gun inspired by that nickel-plated P229.
 
We specialize in plating, but ABS resin bases inevitably end up being too light. Therefore, this model is based on an all-heavyweight specification and finished with paint (note that the barrel is not made of heavyweight material), enhancing the sense of realism and solidity. For the paint, we use the "Warm Silver" paint, which has also been well-received on the DE.50 and P226, and its warm silver color is reminiscent of a nickel-plated finish.
Apart from the barrel, this gun is "all heavyweight." It is the only model gun to feature the ".357 SIG" cartridge. Its distinctive bottleneck shape mimics the .357 SIG bullet, which was developed to deliver the power of a .357 Magnum in an automatic pistol. While the internal mechanism is the same as the Evolution 2 (9mm Para type), it comes standard with a four-hole "Kaion Top" for a powerful firing sound. (Note: While the separately sold cartridge does not have the "Kaion" designation, it does feature the "Kaion Top.")
