The SR-47 is a prototype assault rifle developed by the American firearms manufacturer Knight's Armament Company (KAC) in the early 2000s, at the request of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). While based on the M4 carbine, it was designed to directly use 7.62x39mm ammunition and AK magazines, which are used in the AK-47 and AKM. The goal of its development was to combine the superior operability of the AR platform with the high logistical commonality of the AK series.
The background to its development lies in special operations conducted in Afghanistan and other regions. Special forces operating for extended periods in enemy territory faced difficulties in resupplying 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition, while 7.62x39mm ammunition and AK magazines were relatively easy to obtain locally. The SR-47 was designed as a rifle that could utilize such locally procurable ammunition, while allowing soldiers familiar with the M4 to operate it with the same feel.
Although its external appearance is similar to the M4, to accommodate 7.62x39mm ammunition, key components such as the receiver, bolt, and barrel were custom-designed, and it features a large magazine housing compatible with AK magazines. It also boasts a 14.5-inch barrel, a flat-top receiver, a telescoping stock, and a KAC-made RAS handguard, achieving high expandability and excellent operability. Despite using AK magazines, its controls, such as the magazine release and selector, follow the AR platform layout, making it easy for existing M4 users to operate without discomfort.
The SR-47 showed good performance in testing, but it was not officially adopted due to concerns about inconsistent quality of locally available ammunition and magazines, which made stable operation difficult. Only a few units were manufactured, making it known as a rare prototype rifle, sometimes called the "phantom AR." Its innovative concept is said to have significantly influenced the development of subsequent 7.62x39mm-compatible AR platforms.

・Warranty applies only to CYMA Plus series products sold by our company.
・Warranty will be void (paid repair) if disassembly or modification by the customer or a third party is confirmed.
・Damage or malfunctions due to customer negligence are not covered by the warranty (paid repair).

・Even after the warranty period, we will provide as much support as possible for product issues or defects, including repair services and parts procurement.

While utmost care is taken in the manufacturing of our products, operational marks may be present due to inspection and functional checks. Please also note that as these are overseas products, there may be unevenness in paintwork and slight imperfections in molding accuracy.
