[PERUN] PERUN for KRYTAC KRISS VECTOR (Japanese instruction manual included)

PERUN, a Polish company, has finally released a built-in FCU exclusively for the KRYTAC KRISS VECTOR!

The KRYTAC KRISS VECTOR has poor response when taken out of the box, but by installing this product, trigger tracking is dramatically improved, and when used in combination with the pre-cocking function, it evolves into a model with the best response.

It has a highly reliable circuit based on PERUN HYBRID and is set up to suit domestic springs and motors, supervised by SPARK: a special specification for Japan.

Product overview

This FCU allows you to maximize the potential of the KRYTAC KRISS VECTOR.

By installing this product, trigger tracking will be dramatically improved, and when used in combination with the pre-cocking function, it will evolve into an electric gun with the best response.

By simply replacing the original selector board (part number KA087-04A) with this product, you will be able to perform extremely advanced control without having to disassemble the radio box.

Various functions are added, such as "pre-cocking" which dramatically improves semi-automatic response, "active brake" which brakes the motor to instantly stop operation, burst function, and battery protection function.

Each mode can be switched by operating the selector and trigger input. Pre-cocking, active brake, and burst settings can be finely adjusted, and the setting status can be checked with the LED on the board.

It comes standard with a cable that provides excellent current conduction efficiency, and the MOSFET circuitry significantly improves current conduction efficiency, increasing the response in semi-auto and the rate of fire in full-auto.

It eliminates the trouble of burnt switches and is equipped with a highly safe electronic fuse and self-diagnosis function, as well as an alarm that detects a drop in voltage in the LiPo battery.

In case you forget the settings, the unit is also equipped with a master reset function, allowing you to reset the settings from scratch.

Function Description

---

[Firing Mode Settings]

Safety, semi/2-5 round burst, full auto, and binary shot firing modes can be freely assigned to the semi/burst/full selector positions.

Burst fire means that a single pull of the trigger will always fire the specified number of bullets.

If you set binary shot for each position, one shot will be fired when the trigger is pulled and one when it is released, and only semi-automatic fire is possible in the set position.

[Active Brake Function (AB)]

It stops the inertia after firing, improving the sharpness of semi-auto. When firing in full auto, firing stops the moment you release your finger, improving the trigger feel.

When pre-cocking is off, the piston stops moving forward stably, preventing spring wear (*), but the motor is under load, which causes heat generation and wear. The strength can be set on a scale of 1 to 5 to suit your environment.

It is recommended to use it in combination with a high-torque motor that is highly heat resistant.

*This may not be the case depending on the setting.

[Pre-cocking]

It holds the piston in the most rearward position, maximizing the sharpness of the semi-auto.

The piston moves forward as soon as the trigger is pulled, giving it a trigger feeling similar to that of an air-cocking gun, and when combined with a high-spec motor, it delivers response that is on a whole new level.

Since each part inside the gearbox is subjected to stress, comprehensive reinforcement is required for use.

When this function is turned on, the optimal level of active braking is automatically applied.

Also, when this function is turned on, the intensity will be set to a constant level regardless of the selector mode.

[RoF Reduction]

Suppresses the firing cycle in burst and full auto mode.

This is a useful function when the cycle of your electric gun is too fast or when you want to reduce the consumption of BB bullets.

This setting does not affect first shot response, so you can simply throttle the firing cycle without reducing first shot response.

Do not use this mode with brushless motors to protect the circuit board.

[LIPO ALARM]

It only works when a LiPo battery is connected, and will beep when it detects that the voltage has dropped to 3.7 V per cell.

This is not an auto-cut function, so please replace the battery immediately after the warning.

*Even if this function is turned off, the device will stop with an error if the voltage falls below the operating voltage.

[Electronic fuse]

It is equipped with an electronic fuse that has a much faster response speed than a physical fuse, protecting the circuit board even if a problem occurs with the electric gun.

[DSG MODE]

This function enables the sensor to correctly read the special shape of the DSG (double sector gear).

By enabling this function, you can improve operational stability when using DSG.

[Factory Reset (MASTER RESET)]

Reset the settings to the factory defaults. Use this if you want to start over with all the settings.

■About embedding

The listed specifications are merely the tolerances of the board. It is assumed that there are no problems with the electric gun to be installed, and that the clearances of each gear have been properly adjusted and the parts selected.

If the load exceeds the manufacturer's expectations due to improper assembly of each part, or if the battery is connected in reverse, the safety circuit may not operate and the board may be damaged.

Damage caused by personal installation is not covered by the warranty, so if you have any concerns about the installation, please ask a professional shop to install it.

Since this is a product that requires knowledge and skills for integration, we do not provide integration support for each model.

Do not replace the wiring as the circuit board is sensitive to heat. If the wiring is damaged, replace it with a new unit.

■About commercially available conversion connectors

Do not use a conversion connector to connect the battery.

In recent years, major e-commerce sites have begun selling "T-connector to Tamiya mini connector" conversion connectors, but many of these have reversed positive and negative polarity.

Please be aware that using such products can instantly damage the circuit board.

We will not be responsible for any problems that may arise when using a conversion connector. Also, this problem may occur when using a conversion connector, so please try to connect the battery directly as much as possible.

■About T-connector compatibility issues

There may be compatibility issues with T-connectors. Always use manufacturer-branded connector terminals; do not use generic ones. We recommend T-connectors from brands such as "Eagle Model" and "LayLax."

■About use with brushless motors

PERUN JAPAN has confirmed operation with Option No.1 "plug-in brushless motors" (torque type and entry model) currently in circulation as of December 2021.

However, brushless motors are special motors that are not recommended for use in conjunction with an FCU. Please note that future changes to the specifications of brushless motors may change their behavior and whether they can be used in conjunction with an FCU.
