When in normal position, the target is enlarged by 3X. When you swing out to the side, only the dot sight will be the target image. The UP/DOWN and L/R adjustment dials allow you to adjust the display position of the dot and reticle image. The dial on the eyepiece allows you to adjust the focus to suit each individual's different visual acuity.
