Overview:
The M16VN is a common name for the early M16 (Colt Model 604) issued to the US military during the early stages of the Vietnam War, and it is the prototype model that later evolved into the M16A1. Although not an official military designation, it is widely known among collectors and in the airsoft industry as the "Vietnam-spec M16."
At the time, the M14, the US military's main rifle, was powerful but heavy, making it unsuitable for operations in dense jungle terrain. The M16VN, developed to address this, adopted 5.56×45mm ammunition and achieved significant weight reduction by extensively using an aluminum alloy receiver and resin parts. Soldiers could carry more ammunition and gained high rapid-fire performance and superior mobility. Its lightweight and maneuverability were particularly significant advantages in the jungles of Vietnam.
The M16VN's most distinguishing feature is the absence of a forward assist (a bolt closure device), which was later equipped on the M16A1. It boasts a simple design reflecting designer Eugene Stoner's philosophy and features a classic appearance that remains popular today, including a 20-inch barrel, fixed stock, triangular handguard, and a receiver with an integrated carrying handle.
However, after its combat deployment, malfunctions occurred due to changes in propellant, a shortage of maintenance supplies, and the spread of the erroneous belief that it was "maintenance-free," leading to reliability issues. Subsequently, improvements such as chrome plating of the chamber and barrel, and the deployment of maintenance manuals and cleaning kits were implemented, leading to its evolution into the more reliable M16A1.
Although the M16VN had a short operational period, it is a historic model that laid the foundation for the AR platform, which was inherited by the later M16 series and M4 carbines. As a rifle symbolizing the early Vietnam War, it continues to be highly popular among military fans and collectors worldwide.

・We may refuse repair if the fault cannot be confirmed or if repair is difficult.
【Warranty Terms】
・Warranty applies only to CYMA Plus series products sold by us
・Warranty void if disassembly or modification by the customer or a third party is confirmed (charged repair)
・Damage or malfunction due to customer negligence is not covered by warranty (charged repair)
【After Warranty Period】
・Even after the warranty period, we will provide as much support as possible for product issues, including repairs and parts procurement.

・Please keep your detailed order email. It will be required when claiming warranty.
・Procuring parts may take time.
【Regarding Exterior Finish】
While utmost care is taken in manufacturing the product, there may be operational marks from inspection and function checks. Please also understand that as an overseas product, there may be inconsistencies in paint finish and molding precision.
As these products are classified as models/toys, they do not possess excessive strength or durability for safety reasons. Therefore, please handle them gently and avoid applying undue force.
