What is the AK-12?
The real steel AK-12, announced in 2011, was officially approved by the Russian Ministry of Defense in 2018 as a 5th generation AK rifle. It is a cutting-edge Russian assault rifle that fires 5.45×39mm rounds, developed by the Kalashnikov Concern (formerly Izhmash), well-known for the AK series. While inheriting the high reliability of the AK, the AK-12 features new designs such as a new muzzle brake, telescopic/folding stock, and an ambidextrous selector. Picatinny rails have been added to the receiver and handguard, improving expandability. Since 2018, it has been deployed to Russian infantry units and special forces. It has also been observed in use not only in Russia but also in neighboring countries and the Middle East.
About the WELL PRO AK-12
This is the first airsoft gun to feature the latest AK-12M1 model, which was showcased by Kalashnikov at the international arms forum "ARMY-2023."
Rather than reusing the conventional AK receiver, it has been completely newly designed, with meticulous attention to detail in reproducing characteristic features such as the receiver, handguard, ambidextrous selector, stock shape, and the addition of a cheek rest.
While the body is made of resin (polymer reinforced with nylon fiber), key components are made of metal, ensuring sufficient precision and strength.
The internal gearbox is also equipped with high-performance functions such as 6-stage pre-cocking, semi-automatic with binary trigger, and full-auto with 3-round burst!
