What is the Daniel Defense PCC?

The Daniel Defense PCC series is an AR-style 9mm pistol caliber carbine (PCC) first unveiled at SHOT Show 2024. In the US market, despite its high price point, its high level of perfection, which combines "AR operability + the lightness of pistol ammunition," has been highly praised, leading to a full-scale rollout in 2025. While designed with a direct blowback system, it incorporates a Kynshot hydraulic buffer, significantly reducing recoil and ensuring stability during rapid firing.

The lineup primarily consists of three types.
First, the "DD PCC 916" is a full-size model with a 16-inch barrel and a 13.5-inch M-LOK handguard, designed for stability, targeting competitive shooting and range use.
Next, the "DD PCC SBR" is a short-barreled rifle with an 8.3-inch barrel, specializing in maneuverability and tactical mobility.
Furthermore, the "DD PCC Pistol" is a pistol-classified model with the same configuration as the SBR but equipped with an SBA3 brace, balancing compactness and legal restriction avoidance.

All three models are compatible with CZ Scorpion magazines, offering excellent availability and capacity. The controls are fully ambidextrous. The 7075-T6 aluminum receiver and M-LOK handguard, inherited from higher-end models, are standard, ensuring high levels of texture and durability.

The target audience includes tactically-oriented civilian users, competitive shooters, law enforcement agencies, and Daniel Defense fans. It has garnered particular attention from those seeking highly accurate and reliable PCCs, consistently earning a market reputation as a "costly but reliable choice."
