What is the Daniel Defense PCC?

The Daniel Defense PCC series, first unveiled at SHOT Show 2024, is a 9mm AR-style pistol caliber carbine (PCC). Despite its high price point in the US market, its high degree of perfection, combining "AR operability + pistol cartridge lightness," was highly praised, leading to its full-scale deployment in 2025. Although designed with direct blowback, it incorporates a Kynshot hydraulic buffer, significantly reducing recoil and ensuring stability during rapid firing.

The lineup primarily consists of three models.
First, the "DD PCC 916" is a full-size model with a 16-inch barrel and 13.5-inch M-LOK handguard, designed for stability in competition shooting and range use.
Next, the "DD PCC SBR" is a short-barreled rifle with an 8.3-inch barrel, specializing in maneuverability and tactical mobility.
Additionally, the "DD PCC Pistol" is a pistol-classified model with an SBA3 brace, equivalent to the SBR configuration, balancing compactness with legal restriction avoidance.

All three models are compatible with CZ Scorpion-compatible magazines, offering high convenience in terms of magazine availability and capacity, and feature fully ambidextrous controls. They also come standard with 7075-T6 aluminum receivers and M-LOK handguards, inherited from higher-end models, offering high levels of quality and durability.

Target users include tactically-oriented civilian users, competitive shooters, law enforcement agencies, and Daniel Defense fans. It has garnered particular attention from those seeking a highly accurate and reliable PCC, and has established a stable reputation in the market as a "pricier but reliable option."
