The operating mechanism uses the same short-stroke gas piston and rotary lock bolt as the MPX, resulting in a highly reliable, dirt-resistant design. It features an ambidextrous control system and comes standard with a 30-round magazine. In recent years, it has gained popularity not only in the civilian market but also among law enforcement and competitive shooters, gaining particular popularity as an "easy-to-handle, reliable PCC."

With its futuristic design and high performance, the MPX has also appeared in numerous media outlets, including movies and games. The use of a custom MPX in the "John Wick" series in particular became a hot topic, garnering instant attention from tactical enthusiasts and gear enthusiasts.
