Just like the real thing, the dummy cartridge fills the entire length of the magazine. However, the length of the chamber in the model gun is shallower than the overall length of the cartridge, so when a round is loaded, the slide does not close completely, resulting in a closure failure. However, this is perfectly resolved by moving the bullet itself.

The case comes with a SP, so you can fire it dry, but be sure to remove the firing pin (detonator) before doing so.
