S&W M64 4-inch Stainless Finish Ver. 3 

The S&W M64 is a stainless steel version of the S&W M10, the company's signature K-frame revolver. It fires the .38 Special cartridge and holds six rounds. Introduced in the early 1970s, this highly corrosion-resistant model made use of stainless steel, offering a significant practical advantage, especially in humid regions. It also received high praise from police officers who needed to carry it on duty at all times.
 
The M10, from which the M64 descends, has a long history beginning with the "Military & Police" model introduced in 1899. Thanks to the combination of the easy-to-handle K-frame and the .38 Special cartridge, it was used by a wide range of users, including police and military personnel, throughout the 20th century, establishing its position as one of S&W's signature revolvers.
The M64 is based on the M10 and incorporates stainless steel, adding modern practicality while retaining the traditional K-frame style. This model is based on the 4-inch version found on early M64s from the 1970s. It reproduces distinctive details from that era, such as the tapered 4-inch barrel and the large S&W logo engraved on the side plate.
 
Tanaka Works has previously produced the M10 in a silver-colored "nickel finish" model.
Because we already had a silver model, we had previously decided against producing an M64 "stainless finish" model. However, in response to the demand for the M64 as a new variation of the K-frame revolver, we are finally bringing it to market. Far from being just a different finish, we have paid meticulous attention to every detail of its appearance.
Furthermore, weights have been built into the interior of the grip. We have focused not only on giving the model gun a substantial feel but also on its weight balance when held in the hand. In addition, we have pursued the ultra-smooth operating feel unique to S&W revolvers.
Based on the traditional K-frame, the S&W M64 4-inch has been thoroughly refined in terms of appearance, weight, balance, and operating feel, making it the definitive "Version 3" of Tanaka Works' K-frame model guns.
