The entire cartridge is made of brass, with a lead-colored core with a hole drilled at the tip of the bullet. The bullet is copper-plated and the two parts are press-fitted together to recreate a jacketed point bullet, which is joined to the rim case and threaded. The entire rim case has been buffed to a shine that is indistinguishable from the original. The primer is a blank-firing cartridge that operates with the SP built into the case.
By attaching a dummy cartridge detonator to the barrel, you can enjoy loading and ejecting shells.
There is no problem with firing the gun dry with a cartridge loaded in the chamber and the hammer down.
