Product Description

A small SMG unique to Eastern Europe called "Scorpion"

The Vz61 Skorpion is a representative Eastern European compact SMG (submachine gun). Its unique design has earned it popularity both in Japan and overseas, as a gun used by characters in movies, anime, comics, and games. The actual Vz61 Skorpion was first developed in the late 1950s by the former Czechoslovakia as an SMG for military and police use. It was adopted by the former Czechoslovakian military in 1961 and given the official name "Vz61."

The Vz61 is extremely compact and easy to control, making it widely used by the former Czechoslovakian special forces and the security police forces of socialist countries at the time, and as a representative small SMG of Eastern Europe, its successor models are still being developed and manufactured today. Its distinctive folding stock has earned it the worldwide nickname "Scorpion."

Fully automatic firing from a closed bolt, just like the real thing

The Maruzen Vz61 Scorpion recreates the closed-bolt firing action of a gas blowback rifle. A selector knob allows for semi- or full-auto operation, and the distinctive firing sound and recoil shock are appealing features when in full-auto or blowback mode. The magazine is a genuine long magazine, holds 30 rounds (the real long magazine holds 20 rounds), and features a hold-open function that stops the bolt when all rounds are fired. Just like the real thing, field stripping (a standard disassembly procedure) is possible by simply removing one hinge pin, further deepening your understanding of the internal structure.
