Product Description

The MP2A1 submachine gun, adopted by the German Federal Army after the end of WWII, is now available in gas blowback!

NorthEast, a unique manufacturer that produces only the most niche submachine guns, has released a new product: the industry's first full-size UZI GBB model.

The receiver and folding stock are made of steel and look very realistic, giving it a powerful appearance. The selector indicator is in German "D/E/S".

The realistic operation feel that only a GBB can provide, requires pulling the bolt handle at the top to fire, just like a real gun. The stiff selector operation and powerful blowback are also unique to this product. A must-have for fans.

The name "MP2A1" was originally adopted by the German Federal Armed Forces from the "UZI" submachine gun developed by the Israeli company IMI, known for its large-caliber semi-automatic pistol, the Desert Eagle.

The real UZI gun first appeared in the 1950s, and it is naturally inferior to modern SMGs in terms of accuracy and expandability, but its high productivity due to its small number of parts, low procurement costs, and ease of operation and maintenance that allows it to be used with simple training have made it a popular gun that is still in use today, more than 70 years after its introduction, and various derivative models continue to be created.

After the end of World War II, when various countries restricted West Germany's military expansion, in 1951 the West German Federal Border Guard (Bundesgrenzschutz, BGS) adopted the Italian-made Beretta M38/49 submachine gun "MP1."

However, as military action between the Soviet Union and East Germany became more frequent, West Germany responded by creating the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) and joining NATO in 1955. At the time, West Germany was still using World War II-era guns such as the US military's .45-caliber M3 submachine gun, and it was not possible to standardize ammunition calibers. That same year, the West German Secretary of Defense decided on a Next Generation Submachine Gun program.

Western countries facing the expansion of Communism actively participated in competitive bidding for this project, with the most advanced submachine guns from countries such as Britain, Sweden, Italy, Israel, and Germany being selected as candidates.

After going through all of this, the MP2A1 was adopted by the German Federal Armed Forces.
