An all-heavyweight model variation will be added to the popular model that reproduces the P220 adopted by the Self-Defense Forces.
While the previous P220 Self-Defense Forces model featured a special lightweight slide, this model uses a heavyweight resin frame and slide (the barrel is not heavyweight). This model boasts increased durability in every aspect, including a shock-absorbing recoil guide with SP buffer, an elastomer hammer stop, wear-resistant slide stop grooves, and rust-proofing of the presses. The heavyweight grip also features a weight inside, increasing its weight.
This still-active national defense pistol will be released as an Air Self-Defense Force model with a wing mark on the side of the slide.
