The SIG MPX Copperhead (3.5 inch) is an ultra-compact 9mm personal defense weapon (PDW) developed by SIG. It features a 3.5-inch barrel, one of the shortest in the MPX series, and is designed with extreme portability and maneuverability in mind.
It operates on a short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, providing high reliability and ease of use similar to AR-style rifles. It features an ambidextrous selector, magazine release, bolt release, and charging handle, making it easy for both left and right-handed shooters to operate.
The monolithic upper receiver prioritizes compactness, which limits expandability for handguard changes, but significantly reduces its size and weight.
Models equipped with a stabilizing brace are foldable and extendable, making them ideal for close-range firearm applications such as vehicle transport or carrying in a bag. Since it uses 9mm ammunition, recoil is relatively light, and although muzzle flash is significant, it excels in close-range handling and control.
