The base model is the latest batch of BATON SAND VIPER BK, released in May 2026.

I can almost hear people asking, "What? A Pit Viper engraving on a Sand Viper? Why?!" So, I'd like to explain the concept behind this product first.

Actually, there is no black color for the real SAND VIPER.

That's why BATON's CO2 GBB initially offered two models: the PIT VIPER (black) and the SAND VIPER (coyote), which exist in the real world. However, the major difference between these two models was not only the color and engraving but also the functional difference of whether they had an optics-ready slide or not. In other words, only the SAND VIPER could mount a red dot sight on its slide, which was a significant feature that the PIT VIPER lacked.

However, while the coyote color is perfect for those who like it, it is also true that, overall, a vast majority of people prefer black firearms.

We've received earnest requests from customers who purchased our real engraving models, saying, "I desperately want to mount a red dot sight on a black PIT VIPER with real engravings! I've been thinking, could you paint a SAND VIPER black and engrave it with PIT VIPER markings? (Note: This is not possible)"

Then, BATON's third VIPER series model, the SAND VIPER BK, appeared. Since the SAND and PIT models are basically almost identical in shape, we thought that if we engraved it with PIT VIPER markings, it would satisfy the demand for an "optics-ready PIT VIPER."

Furthermore, while we were considering this, TTI themselves recently released an SRO-compatible PIT VIPER model. The engraving on that model was deep-cut instead of the conventional white engraving, so we set this custom model to have deep-cut engraving as well. However, since the traditional white engraving model had engravings on the magwell and other areas that are now absent, we will also offer a white engraving option for those who prefer it. Please choose according to your preference.

Please note that since this unit is based on the SAND VIPER, features such as the barrel, hammer, and trigger colors, which are characteristic of the PIT VIPER, are not reproduced and remain entirely black. Also, the position and shape of the iron sights differ from the real PIT VIPER.

While Baton's SAND VIPER gas gun originally faithfully reproduces the shape, unfortunately, due to licensing issues, it lacked any engravings. We have now added realistic engravings in a completely limited quantity.

By using both white laser engraving and deep laser engraving, we have perfectly replicated the appearance of the real firearm.

Engravings are applied in 8 locations, including the left and right sides and top of the slide, the rear sight, the chamber, various parts of the frame, and even the magazine catch.

The engravings we accept are exactly the same specifications as shown in the photos on this page, so all engravings shown in the photos will be applied. Of course, magazine bumper engravings will also be included.
