Product Description

The Type 38 infantry rifle became the official rifle of the Japanese Army in 1905 (Meiji 38), the year the Russo-Japanese War ended. Designed by Arisaka of the Tokyo Arsenal, it became known worldwide as the Arisaka rifle. Boasting top-class performance among the world's military rifles, it's no exaggeration to say that the Japanese army relied solely on this rifle until the end of World War II. The KTW is modeled after the early Type 38. Its main components are made of iron, ensuring reliable operation and excellent durability. Of course, its accuracy is unmatched, just like the real thing.

The bolt handle is welded to the cylinder, and the dust cover that covers it is all made of iron. The receiver is made of zinc die-cast.

When cocked, it makes a realistic "clink" sound. The dust cover is black-dyed and not plated, so please be careful of rust.

The engraving is faithful to the real thing. When the bolt is fully pulled back, the brass nozzle is visible. The receiver and the chamber block in front of it are made of zinc die-cast.

To load the gun, remove the magazine plate, turn the gear to open the feed port, pop in the BBs, and close the plate.

Rear sight. The hop-up adjustment screw is located in the hole behind the center of the folded sight (the hex wrench size for the hop-up screw is 1.5 mm). The screw directly presses the packing.

The sights are not raised due to the hop-up. The hop-up was adjusted during test firing (using Marui Bearing Bio 0.25g) before shipping.

The muzzle is straight and the barrel tapers from behind. The barrel is made of aluminum with a black anodized finish.

It is fitted with a Type 30 bayonet (made by KTW). The shape of the front sight indicates that it is an early (Taisho period) model made by the Tokyo Arsenal.

The butt plate is made of Iwate's specialty "Nambu Ironware," and the stock is made of Japanese walnut.

[Notice] About parts

Old parts (made of resin) from batches prior to 10 may not be available.

We have new parts (metal) in stock from lot 11 onwards.

When replacing plastic parts with metal, there may be incompatibilities. The pin hole positions on the rear sight bar and rear sight base are slightly different, so both must be replaced at the same time. Some internal structures of the metal trigger guard create gaps between them and the old-style BB magazine, so a partition plate must be installed (a separate part is available).
