This is a clip-on cheek riser for CTR, MOE, DT, and PR carbine stocks. It increases the height of the cheek weld by 1/4 inch. This riser is typically used for non-AR15/M4 applications because the riser prevents the charging handle from functioning unless the stock is fully extended. It was originally designed for M14 carbine stock conversions.
