The SIG MPX PCC is a 9x19mm pistol caliber carbine (PCC) developed by SIG, offering rifle-like operability and stability while using handgun ammunition.
Among the MPX series, it is designed as a "ready-to-use competition specification" for competitive shooting (PCC and 3-Gun competitions) and the civilian market, and is highly regarded for its reliability and operability. It employs a short-stroke gas piston system and a rotating bolt locking system, and with an AR-15-like operating system, it achieves light recoil and smooth operation.
The selector, charging handle, magazine release, and other controls are ambidextrous, making it easy for both left and right-handed shooters to use. The M-LOK handguard allows for the attachment of various accessories such as lights and foregrips. Depending on the model, it features a 16-inch barrel, telescopic stock, or folding stock, making it suitable not only for competition but also for close-quarters combat and self-defense.
Because it uses 9mm ammunition, it has light recoil and excellent shooting control, but its effective range is shorter than rifle ammunition, primarily for short to medium-range operations. The SIG MPX PCC inherits the reliability and operability of the MPX series, and as a representative model of modern PCCs, it is highly popular for its wide range of applications, including competition, tactical, and civilian defense.
