The AK74 was developed as a successor to the AK47. Its smaller caliber of 5.45 x 39mm improves the AK47's weak point, controllability in full auto mode. It features a larger flash hider. APS's AK74 (ASK201) is realistically reproduced using full metal and real wood. It is also a blowback model in which the bolt moves in conjunction with the piston, making it a fun weapon to shoot. The Japanese version uses a 6.10mm loose barrel for improved accuracy.
