Tokyo Marui to release second edition of new "Bodyguard 380" compact carry gas gun

Tokyo Marui has announced the release of the Bodyguard 380, their second compact carry gas gun following the LCP.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 7,980 yen (excluding tax) and the release date is May 27, 2021.

The first release in the series was a well-received model of the Sturm Ruger Compact Auto "LCP," but this second release features a toy gun based on a model from the same category made by Smith & Wesson.

There are many similarities between the LCP and the LCP, such as the ammunition used (.380ACP), polymer frame, and built-in laser sight (some models do not have one), but the overall shape reflects the characteristics of each manufacturer, and as a toy gun, preference for appearance will likely be a major deciding factor, in addition to ease of use.

This series is a fixed slide model, so you cannot enjoy blowback action, but it has a very compact and cute appearance, high shooting performance, and is suitable for use in games and target shooting.

It features a finely adjustable variable hop-up, and the internal mechanism is made of metal parts for strength. The slide does not move, which also has the benefit of making the operation noise very quiet.

Following the well-received LCP, there is no doubt that the Bodyguard 380 will also become a popular model.
