The Vortex Venom Red Dot is a versatile red dot that can be adapted to a variety of guns.
It features a thin yet sturdy aluminum housing surrounding a large lens, resulting in a barely noticeable frame and a wide field of view, enabling quick transitions and target acquisition.
Two dot sizes are available: 3MOA for wide-area capture and 6MOA for close-range capture.
There are two modes for setting the brightness of the dots: manual mode, where you adjust the brightness using buttons as usual, and auto mode, where the brightness is automatically adjusted according to the ambient light.
The accuracy of the auto mode has been highly praised by American users, and you can basically leave it to automatic adjustment in any environment.
The battery life is up to 3,000 hours, and it can be used for 150 hours at the highest brightness setting.
It comes with a 20mm low mount (Weaver/Picatinny mount) so it's ready to use right away. The footprint is Docter/Noblex standard, so it can be replaced with various compatible mounts.
It also has an auto power off function that automatically shuts down the light after 14 hours of use, minimizing the risk of the battery running out unexpectedly (only in auto mode; auto power off does not work when the light is turned on manually).
The lenses feature multiple anti-reflective coatings for high light transmission, impact resistance to withstand live ammunition, and an ultra-hard scratch-resistant coating to protect the outer lens from scratches, oil, and dirt.
