What is the AK-12?
The real steel AK-12 is a 5th generation AK rifle whose development was announced in 2011 and officially approved for adoption by the Russian Ministry of Defense in 2018. It is a state-of-the-art Russian assault rifle that uses 5.45×39mm ammunition and is manufactured by the Kalashnikov Concern (formerly Izhmash), well-known for the AK series. While retaining the high reliability of the AK, the AK-12 features new designs such as a new muzzle brake, an adjustable/folding stock, and an ambidextrous selector. Picatinny rails have been added to the receiver and handguard, improving expandability. Since 2018, it has been progressively deployed to Russian infantry units and special forces. In addition to Russia, its use has been confirmed in neighboring countries and the Middle East.
About the WELL PRO AK-12
The latest AK-12M1 model, exhibited by Kalashnikov at the international military forum "ARMY-2023", makes its first appearance as a toy gun.
It features a completely new design, not merely adapting an existing AK receiver, with noticeable attention to detail in every aspect, such as the characteristic receiver, handguard, ambidextrous selector, stock shape, and the addition of a cheek rest.
The receiver and top cover are made of stamped steel, and main components are metal, ensuring sufficient accuracy and strength.
HOP adjustment can be easily done without disassembling the airsoft gun. A 2mm hex wrench can be inserted into the interlocked dials on the trunnion block for quick adjustment.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a gas flow adjustment function. The gas flow can be fine-tuned using a 1.5mm hex wrench after removing the loading nozzle from the bolt. After adjustment, secure it with threadlocker.
