H&K Mk23 pistol from Taiwanese GBB brand "Ascend".
This product is a fixed slide gas gun reproduction of the masterpiece large handgun MK23 SOCOM pistol created by H&K, and follows the system of the Tokyo Marui Mk23.
The Marui Mk23 fixed slide gas gun has been a popular model for a long time, as it features high quietness, stable trajectory, and low fuel consumption by omitting the blowback function.
Although the Ascend Mk23 is a copy of the Marui model, it is by no means something that should be dismissed as just another overseas copy.
First of all, like foreign products, it uses an aluminum slide (CNC), which improves the texture, and the front and rear sights are made of optical fiber (front: green, rear: red), which also improves functionality.
Additionally, the rear of the slide comes standard with an RMR mount, allowing you to mount a compatible microdot sight without any additional processing or parts.
In addition, the chamber and inner barrel, which are key to accuracy, are made with products from Maple Leaf, a high-quality Taiwanese parts manufacturer, making them highly reliable.
One major improvement over previous Marui models is the ability to adjust the hop-up without taking down the slide.
The hop adjustment dial can be accessed through a small window on the side of the chamber, allowing for easy adjustment. This function allows for quick fine-tuning at any time, which is a major advantage.
Other aspects of the operation are the same as the Marui model, and the magazine is also Marui compatible. The only thing I would say is that the overall weight is a little heavier at 880g due to the aluminum slide, and the operating sound has a sharper metallic feel, but it feels almost the same as the Marui Mk23.
The muzzle at the end of the outer barrel is a 16mm positive thread, the same as the Marui model. It can be used with silencers of the same standard, or converted to a 14mm negative thread by using an aftermarket conversion adapter, allowing it to be used with various silencers and tracers.
The package contains only the main body and magazine, no instruction manual. The QR code on the side of the package can be used to access the Ascend product parts list, but please note that this model file was not included.
