The DD5 SBR is a 7.62x51mm NATO short-barreled rifle (SBR) developed by the American firearms manufacturer Daniel Defense. Based on the DD5 series, it achieves high maneuverability by adopting a 12.5-inch short barrel, designed to handle a wide range of uses from close-quarters combat to mid-range shooting.
This model features a highly durable barrel manufactured with the cold hammer forging method, achieving both excellent accuracy and reliability despite its short barrel. It also comes standard with an adjustable gas block that accommodates both suppressed and unsuppressed firing, making it adaptable to various operating environments. The direct impingement gas system, widely adopted in AR platforms, ensures smooth operation and excellent shooting feel.
The DD5 series' unique 4-Bolt Connection System contributes to increased accuracy by enhancing the rigidity of the barrel-receiver connection. Furthermore, it features a DLC-coated bolt carrier group and dual ejectors, ensuring the high durability and stable operation performance required of rifles using large-caliber ammunition.
The controls are fully ambidextrous, allowing the selector, bolt catch, and magazine release to be operated with either hand. The handguard features an M-LOK system, allowing flexible attachment of various accessories such as optics, weapon lights, and laser devices.
Despite its compact size, the DD5 SBR offers the high power and range performance of 7.62mm ammunition. It is highly regarded as a tactical rifle that combines mobility and firepower at a high level, earning strong support from law enforcement, military personnel, and civilian shooting enthusiasts.
