The EXPS3-DCR features a Danger Close Reticle (DCR) that not only provides fast and accurate shots at normal distances, but is also an effective close-combat aiming point. Housed in the popular EXPS form factor, it offers true two-eyes-open shooting for fast target acquisition, a night-vision compatible configuration, and a lower 1/3 co-witness 7mm raised quick-detach base.

The DCR reticle is an improved version of the popular "Speed ​​Ring" circle/dot reticle, but it addresses the point of aim (POA) and point of impact (POI) shifts that occur in close engagements when the primary dot is zeroed at distance. While the 68MOA width is maintained, the top of the circle has been removed for a cleaner look. The bottom of the ring has also been removed and replaced with an easy-to-find chevron, providing the height overbore adjustment needed for dangerously close shot placement. With a .223/5.56 rifle zeroed at 50 yards, the DCR offers three confident aiming points, including a long-range 200-yard zero and a 7-yard solution.
