New Winchester M1873 Carbine

The Winchester M1873, a famous gun also known as "The Gun That Won the West" alongside the Colt Peacemaker (SAA).
The SAA and Winchester rifle are models that almost always appear in Western movies.
This airsoft gun, made by KTW, faithfully reproduces the most distinctive lever action, compressing the spring and storing firing power as the lever operates.
The mechanism where the dust cover opens in conjunction with raising the lever is also reproduced, allowing for realistic operation.
The exterior is also reproduced with high quality; the stock is plastic, but the gun body is all metal. Furthermore, the metal parts have a black oxide finish, so you can enjoy a surface texture that cannot be achieved with painted products.

When the lever is raised, the dust cover opens. When the lever is returned, the dust cover remains open. This is true to the real firearm. The round ring behind the side cover is a saddle ring, used for hooking onto a horse's saddle.

When the lever is raised, the carrier block visible in front of the lever ascends. The stock is made of resin, but its color is finished to resemble the American walnut of the real firearm.

The cassette-type tube magazine loaded with BBs is inserted here. Push it in all the way and turn the magazine head to the right to securely fix it to the barrel. It holds 37 rounds. After the last shot, 2 rounds remain in the gun. You can fire the remaining rounds by cocking twice while the gun is inverted.

There are various types of Winchester sights. Carbines have a shorter range due to their shorter barrels, so this ladder-type sight is popular for aiming at long distances.

Remove the screw on the fore-end ring and slide it slightly forward to reveal the hop screw. Turning it to the right with the included hex wrench will increase the hop. It has been pre-adjusted for normal hop with Marui 0.25g bio BBs.

The variable hop-up mechanism is simple. It uses a 4mm grub screw to directly press on the chamber packing to apply hop. Be careful not to turn it too hard until it jams, as this may puncture the packing.

Since it is air-cocking, the lever operation may feel quite stiff, but it will become smoother with continued use. However, please refrain from dry firing as it puts excessive strain on the piston. The lever pivot bolt (sold separately for ¥250) may loosen with prolonged use, so please tighten it occasionally.

When BBs are loaded into the magazine and fired, 1 to 2 rounds remain in the main unit. These remaining rounds are removed by cocking and firing with the gun inverted. At that time, the magazine will be empty, but as shown in the photo, one round may sometimes remain.
