The M16 was adopted by the U.S. Air Force in 1960, and was also adopted by the U.S. Army in 1967. Various improvements were made during the Vietnam War, which lasted until 1975.

The included adjustment tool allows you to adjust the front sight up and down and the rear sight left and right.
By removing the compensator, you can attach a muzzle option with a 14mm reverse thread, such as a silencer.
By opening the port cover, you can quickly adjust the hop adjustment using the dial-type hop adjustment dial.
It comes with a short magazine that holds 190 rounds and has an outer case made of pressed steel just like the real thing.
