The Colt Python 3-inch barrel model. Also known as the "Combat Python," this popular model looks very different from both the 2.5-inch and 4-inch barrels, despite only a few centimeters difference.
The real gun debuted in 1955 as a high-end revolver using .357 Magnum ammunition. The Python has many distinctive features, including a shape and finish that changed the conventional concept of a revolver, and there are several variations of the Python.
With this "R Model" version, most of the major parts of Tanaka's previous model gun have been adjusted, resulting in the definitive Python model gun that faithfully and perfectly reproduces the Colt action of the real gun.
