[UMAREX] H&K VP9 Air-Cocking Pistol with Metal Slide, Officially Licensed

A rare find! The HK VP9 air-cocking handgun is back on sale after a long time!

It uses a lot of metal parts, giving it a solid feel that you wouldn't expect from an air gun, yet it's priced so low. When you actually see and touch it, you're likely to be surprised by how well it's made, which is why it's so popular.

This is a realistic handgun with the H&K engraving reproduced under official license from UMAREX.

Not only the slide but also the outer barrel is made of metal, and metal parts are also used for the trigger, levers, and other parts that come into contact with the hand. This gives the gun a very realistic feel when held, and produces a pleasant sound of metal touching.

Furthermore, the weight of 700g is so heavy that it's hard to believe it's an air-operated handgun. The VFC VP9 gas blowback weighs about 740g (including the heavy gas magazine), so it's almost the same weight.

The resin frame has a slight sheen and, frankly, a slightly cheap-looking plastic feel, but the shape and texture of the grip are very solid, and the molding marks are barely noticeable. It's clear that no corners have been cut, and it's a good product.

And the attention to detail is not just in the exterior and weight, but also in the functionality.

When the slide is pulled back with no bullets remaining, the slide stop engages, and to top it off, even the cocking indicator at the rear of the slide is reproduced, and when cocked, a red indicator peeks out through the hole.

When firing BB bullets, the product is stated to have a maximum of 0.5 joules, so when firing a 0.2g BB, the initial velocity is approximately 65 to 70 m/s.

The slide and outer barrel are made of metal, so the metallic clank that occurs when cocking is very pleasant, and combined with the price, this is a very satisfying model.

Judging from the appearance, I think the manufacturing is being outsourced to KWC Taiwan, but I haven't confirmed this so it's just a guess.

It may be a little tough to use for hitting targets in airsoft games, but I think it's perfect for use in the living room or as an equipment item. Highly recommended!
