The 4-inch barrel model of the Colt Python.

The real firearm debuted in 1955 as a high-end revolver chambered for .357 Magnum ammunition. The Python, with its many distinctive features such as its shape and finish, which changed the conventional concept of revolvers, has several variations.

This groundbreaking model features Tanaka's unique "Pegasus System" gas revolver mechanism, which successfully reproduces a slim grip by housing the gas tank within the cylinder.

With the "R-model" upgrade, most of the main parts of Tanaka's conventional models have been adjusted, resulting in a definitive Python gas revolver that faithfully and perfectly recreates the Colt action of the real firearm.
