Introducing a custom gear set for electric airsoft guns designed for high quality and high performance.
Born from H.T.G. Basic's "Kuro (Black) Concept," this gear set is compatible with Ver. 2, Ver. 3, and Ver. 6 gearboxes, and is the industry's first to adopt spiral gears and all-helical gears.

[DSG for the Brushless Motor Era]
The DSG 7.2:1 is a new generation dual sector gear that further increases the gear ratio from the conventional DSG 9:1.
It was developed to enable higher cycle rates and lower RPM, quieter, and higher response settings with the widespread use of high-performance brushless motors.

Conventionally, a configuration based on 18:1 gears producing 9:1, or 16:1 gears producing 8:1, was common. However, the 16:1 base had issues with improper gear shape, leading to noise and gear stripping.
This product optimizes the gear ratio on the bevel gear side, re-evaluating the center distance and meshing accuracy, and newly designing a 14.4:1 gear ratio.
By converting this 14.4:1 gear into a DSG, a 7.2:1 ratio was achieved.

This allows for even higher cycle rates than the conventional 9:1 DSG, and at the same time, significantly expands the freedom of customization, such as suppressing motor RPM to improve quietness.

For the first time in the Kuro Gear series, the counter gear features a hollowed-out (lightweight) structure.
Material has been removed from the gear body, reducing the weight of the 18:1 ratio counter gear from 22g to 16g.
This reduces the moment of inertia, making startup and shutdown more agile, and is expected to improve response.

Furthermore, the anti-reversal latch drum has 8 claws, achieving both reliable operation and durability.

This is a next-generation DSG gear set for advanced custom users who seek high cycle rates, quiet operation, and lightweight performance.

[Integrated Design with High-Precision CNC Machining]
High-precision integrated design through CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining eliminates compatibility issues, noise, and transmission efficiency variations between gears. It achieves optimal performance without worrying about combining with products from other manufacturers.

[Use of High-Strength Steel Material]
S45C and 20CrMnTi (chrome-manganese-titanium alloy gear steel) are used. The material and hardness of each part are adjusted according to the characteristics of electric airsoft guns to improve durability and reliability.

[Changes for Higher Speed and Easier Setting]
To improve the response of motors that instantaneously increase rotational speed, such as brushless motors, and electronic triggers, or to support pre-cocking, the tappet plate pin position of the sector gear has been shifted to a later position than conventional models.
This improves the freedom and simplicity of tappet plate settings.

It is possible to set a less fluctuating cutoff timing while adjusting the relationship between nozzle opening timing and piston.
Also, the nozzle closing timing can be adjusted by cutting the lower part of the tappet plate's wing, which increases the freedom of processing shape and makes nozzle control easier.

Note: There are differences from conventional settings, so please test thoroughly before use.

[Effects and Advantages of Spiral and Helical Gears]
◇ Spiral Gear (used for pinion and bevel gears)
・High torque transmission efficiency: Due to the helical tooth surfaces, multiple teeth mesh simultaneously. This ensures smooth torque transmission and allows for resistance to heavy loads.
・Noise reduction: Increased contact area between teeth and smooth meshing significantly reduce vibration and noise.
・Improved durability: Stress on the tooth surface is dispersed, resulting in less wear and a longer lifespan.
*A pinion gear for D-type motor shafts is included.
Please note that it cannot be used with O-type shafts such as our "Kuro Motor".

◇ Helical Gear (used for counter and sector gears)
・Smooth operation: The obliquely cut tooth profile ensures continuous meshing and reduced impact.
・High rotational performance: Stable transmission is possible even at high rotational speeds, contributing to an improved firing cycle.
・Improved quietness: Compared to spur gears, contact is smoother, reducing noise within the gearbox.

◇ Specification Change for Spiral Bevel Gear
・Due to its structure, the spiral bevel gear is difficult to integrally mold and is an assembly type.
・The anti-reversal drum has been improved from conventional MIM molding to CNC machining to reduce looseness.

[Further Performance Improvement with Meticulous Shim Adjustment]
Precise shim adjustment minimizes backlash (play) between gears, leading to efficient torque transmission and improved response.

・Replacing the pinion gear on a brushless motor requires skill and knowledge. If you are unsure or do not have the appropriate tools, please consult a specialized shop.
・Cannot be used in combination with gears from other manufacturers or conventional spur gears.
・The teeth that pull the piston on the sector gear of the spiral helical gear set are 16 spur teeth (DSG has 8 teeth).
・Installation may require processing and adjustment.
・Apply threadlocker to the set screw for pinion fixing.
