[Tanaka] Type 38 Cavalry Rifle, Gray Steel Finish

The Type 38 Cavalry Rifle is a highly portable carbine rifle designed for mounted troops. Due to its short barrel, it features a small, specialized rear sight with a different range indicator. The front and rear sling swivels have been moved to the left side for easier carrying while mounted. Due to its light weight, it was widely used by both mounted and paratrooper troops. This model, originally manufactured as a firing metal model gun, is now available in a special edition with a revised surface finish. The stock features a slightly faded, subdued brown finish that highlights the wood grain, while the mechanism features an original "gray steel finish" evoking the image of "iron steeped in history." Only the bolt is silver-plated, recreating the polished white finish characteristic of the early, elaborate Type 38 series. This is the definitive gas bolt-action rifle used by the Japanese military, both in appearance and performance.
