Product Description

Western Arms products are gas guns made of high-density plastic, allowing you to enjoy the same realistic weight as a real firearm. The "Magna Blowback" mechanism, which controls the gun's core, provides a powerful recoil shock akin to a real firearm, allowing for realistic and impactful shooting. It uses safe low-pressure gas to fire 6mm BBs in the same process as a real gun.

Beretta's Innovative Large-Caliber Handgun, the Cougar

Pietro Beretta, Europe's largest brand, is said to have over 400 years of history as a firearms manufacturer.

Since the early 1900s, Beretta's semi-automatic pistols have traditionally featured a design with a large cutout in the upper part of the slide, extending to the M92 (M9) series, the official sidearm of the US military.

This distinctive design is said to lighten the slide and prevent ejection failures, a crucial factor in the structure of an automatic pistol. However, the aesthetic sense of Italian design must have played a significant role in their long-standing adherence to this design.

The M92 series' prop-up locking block system, inspired by the Walther P38, was effective in maintaining accuracy due to its horizontal barrel movement during short recoil operation. However, concerns were raised about the stress on the slide and design limitations.

Thus, the M8000 series was developed, featuring a rotating locking barrel system.
As its name suggests, this method unlocks the barrel by rotating it during short recoil, allowing for a shorter slide length—a constraint in the M92 series—while maintaining accuracy.
Simultaneously, a significant increase in strength was achieved, leading to the creation of Beretta's first .45 caliber model, the "M8045," commonly known as the Cougar.

Perfect Beretta designed from real gun blueprints

WA's M8045 Cougar was privileged to receive real gun blueprints from Pietro Beretta itself during its design, leading to a model that pursues the utmost realism.

A clear example of this is the use of genuine Beretta grip panels, further enhancing the perfect reproducibility and status of the WA Cougar.

The Cougar, like WA's Government series, has been upgraded as a high-spec custom model, with the built-in transfer hammer mechanism being a major attraction.

This allows for realistic reproduction of the hammer-down profile and the feeling of returning a cocked hammer (decocking), creating a highly refined package that even impresses avid fans.

Condensed Magna Mechanism Proven Performance

The .45 caliber double-stack magazine features a large-capacity gas tank, second only to the high-capacity systems represented by the SV series.

It is equipped with an N.L.S. (Non-Liquid System) to prevent liquefied gas leakage during firing, enabling stress-free shooting where raw gas does not spray out even during quick draws or when the gun is tilted.

Additionally, the enlarged, curvaceous slide is equipped with a large-diameter piston with a long stroke, which drives the high-density heavy-weight slide at high speed, creating a heavy recoil shock with a solid feel that powerfully impacts the hand holding it.

With a weighty feel approaching a total of 1 kilogram and a ferocious presence that capitalizes on the texture of the carbon black heavy-weight material, it is finished as a model that gives anyone who holds it a genuine sense of authenticity, making them doubt their own eyes.

The realism recreated with the cooperation of Pietro Beretta and the top-tier operational performance among the Beretta series make it both a joy to behold and to shoot.
It boasts an all-around perfection that allows you to fully enjoy the true essence of WA Magna Blowback.
Experience the "WA-ism" of meticulously replicating the feel of a real gun in a toy gun with this M8045 Cougar.

Maintenance of Carbon Black Heavyweight Material

The surface treatment of the carbon black heavyweight model prioritizes the texture that utilizes the material's inherent quality, and no coating or painting is applied to the surface.
Therefore, unlike standard models (painted models), the alloy powder layer mixed into the material is exposed, which may cause oxidation and discoloration over time or with frequent use.
We recommend regular maintenance after use, such as wiping off surface dirt (like skin oils) with a separately sold silicone spray.
