Taizo Kobayashi, the most important figure in the former MGC and current representative of Tanio Koba, is an epoch-making figure who continues to create groundbreaking systems even as times change.

This model was newly produced in 2011, 50 years after Koba joined MGC and coincidentally the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Colt Government. It is a masterpiece M4 blowback model gun that can be called the culmination of his 50 years of work.

A single grain of cap gunpowder creates powerful blowback and ensures reliable operation, firing all rounds in full auto mode. This model stands out from other companies' products, which require user modification and adjustment to function properly.

This model has not been produced since 2014, but it has now finally been decided that it will be reproduced for the first time in nearly 10 years.

In fact, there have been rumors of it being in production since last year (2022), and it was originally scheduled to be released at the end of 2022, but there were problems with the supply of receiver parts along the way, so the release was postponed several times before finally settling on this release date.

After overcoming many difficulties, it has finally been released safely, but due to the recent decline in demand for model guns and the difficulty of finding a successor to take over production, it is possible that there may not be another production run (although, of course, as a retailer and a fan, I hope that this will not happen...).

Update 9/29: At the time of the announcement, it was said that this was a limited production run of 200 units, but it appears that the actual production figure was less than that.

Features

1. The "Hexagon CP Blowback System" was newly developed for the M4MG. It takes the rate of fire of the "CP Blowback" system, which has different characteristics from the easy blowback open detonator system, to the ultimate level and makes it high-powered for assault rifles.

2. The cartridge is a lightweight, durable "hard-anodized aluminum cartridge" that boasts high corrosion resistance and does not put strain on the internal parts. Therefore, after use, there is less gunpowder contamination than with conventional brass cartridges, and it only requires simple cleaning, demonstrating high corrosion resistance.

3. The receiver and bolt are made of the same amorphous G nylon resin that has been proven effective in the GM-7. The firing pin is also made of the same carbon resin and is a center-fire design. Therefore, the operation and firing performance are on par with the GM-7.

4. The Tanio Koba Blowback Magic for M4-MG, using a hard anodized aluminum cartridge and hexagonal CP, was born by combining the "utilization of M4 exterior part know-how" gained from the TANIO Koba M4GBB with the "all-round blowback technology" cultivated in the KOBA GM-7.

5. The steel parts that receive the gunpowder gas, such as the ejector, dust cover, barrel nut, and hider cap, are treated with the same MIL Barka rust prevention treatment as real guns.

Basic concept of TANIO KOBA/M4-MG

●Safe and reliable operation! "All-plastic center fire bolt"

Previously, it was said that a perfectly firing plastic firing pin was impossible. However, just like the GM-7, the M4-MG's bolt and firing pin are made of high-tech all-plastic materials that meet Koba Staff's STGA safety standards, making it possible to fire 30 rounds in a row.

Blowback Bottleneck Cart

Assault rifle cartridges have a narrow bottleneck design. This means that thick detonators like the GM-7 cannot be used. However, in order to create a powerful blowback in an automatic rifle, the only option was the CP method, which generates a stronger kick than an open detonator. Furthermore, the conventional CP method had drawbacks such as a low firing sound due to poor gas venting, and the difficulty of cleaning the cartridge.

Therefore, Tanio Koba developed the new Hexagon CP system, aiming to overcome the shortcomings of the conventional CP system by making the sound louder, strengthening the cartridge head screws, and making cleaning easier.

The shape is tapered to be as close as possible to the real cartridge size (.5.56x45), so that 30 rounds can fit into a real banana-shaped magazine.

Of course, the material is hard anodized aluminum, which is easy to clean and highly corrosion-resistant. It weighs less than half the weight of brass, and the ejection feel is closer to that of a real cart.

Nowadays, plastic magazines are the norm for assault rifles around the world, and the Magbul Magazine is at the top of this range.

Tanio Koba ordered a magazine specially adapted for model gun carts from Magpul, but since Magpul magazines are now officially adopted by the US military, they are banned from export, so this plan did not come to fruition, even though it was for model guns.

Also, because model gun cartridges have a tip that lacks a bullet, they cannot be fed smoothly into a real gun magazine. For this reason, Tanio Koba planned to create a "magazine specifically for model guns" using his 50 years of know-how in model gun manufacturing.

Notice to Customers: Due to their nature, model guns are intentionally made weak to prevent unauthorized modifications. Of course, they are strong enough to withstand blowback using gunpowder, and do not require extremely careful handling, but careless handling may shorten the product's lifespan.
