Since its first combat deployment as the U.S. military's "M9" sidearm during the 1989 Panama invasion, it is said to have been officially adopted by government agencies in over 25 countries worldwide, proving its superior performance as military and police equipment through numerous harsh battlefields.

While it ceded its position as the official service pistol to SIG's P320=M17 in the recent MHS (Modular Handgun System) trials by the U.S. Army and Air Force, the M92 series can be considered a battle-proven masterpiece of automatic handguns, alongside the Colt Government, from a historical firearms perspective.

The Centurion, a short model with a 4.25-inch barrel

However, while sub-compacts sacrifice barrel length and magazine capacity of full-size models to improve concealability, short models like the Centurion offer a significant advantage in terms of magazine capacity and maneuverability.

Short models that maintain the firepower of military and police full-size models while reducing the slide length to a highly maneuverable and portable 4-inch class are considered the current mainstream, and are adopted by major manufacturers such as Glock, SIG, and H&K.

The slide assembly uses a Centurion-specific 4.25-inch slide, which is the only model WA produces as a toy gun. The slide, which reproduces the Beretta U.S.A. version markings, is designed with a spartan concept that deliberately does not add serrations to the front.

The design where the barrel protrudes from the front of the slide is a Beretta tradition dating back to the M1934 era, but the Centurion's barrel, designed with a carry gun in mind, is characterized by its short length.

Four exhaust ports on each side, totaling eight, are added diagonally upwards and forwards on the outer barrel, creating an aggressive appearance.

The carbon black heavy-weight slide is first blasted for a matte finish, then polished on both sides. The surface features a bluing (black dye) finish that takes advantage of the HW material's properties. The contrast between the matte finish on the curved parts and the glossy finish on the flat parts of the slide is emphasized, creating a deep texture that cannot be achieved with painted finishes on ABS resin models. Slide Maintenance

The surface finish of the carbon black heavy-weight material prioritizes the texture that utilizes the material's characteristics and does not involve painting or coating. Therefore, unlike painted finishes, the alloy powder layer mixed into the material is exposed, which may cause oxidation and discoloration over time or with frequent use. After use, we recommend regular maintenance, such as wiping off dirt (hand oils, etc.) adhering to the material surface with a separately sold silicone spray.
