What is DD RISIII?

The Daniel Defense RIS III is a state-of-the-art rail system that inherits the design philosophy of the RIS II, a system used by U.S. Special Forces, while being optimized for modern AR platforms. Its free-float design, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, ensures lightweight and high rigidity. Its Type III hard-coat anodizing treatment ensures high durability and corrosion resistance. The biggest difference from the RIS II is that it uses seven M-LOK slots instead of the traditional four-sided Picatinny rail, reducing weight and improving expandability. It also comes standard with QD sling swivel points on both sides. It is compatible with the RIS II barrel nut and can be used with Colt receivers. Designed to combine precision and maneuverability, this next-generation rail is attracting attention as a solution for a wide range of needs, from professional to custom builders.
