Palsonite treatment makes use of the vacuum effect
[Pulsonite Precision Cylinder]
We have developed a low-friction, highly durable cylinder that uses "Palsonite," a nitriding process that boasts the highest precision and corrosion resistance among stainless steel nitriding processes. The low friction that promotes piston speed and the improved hardness that maintains roundness ensure excellent performance over a long period of time. The Palsonite cylinder, which delivers smooth airflow, is the perfect combination for a vacuum system that improves airflow.
●Inner diameter φ22mm (genuine diameter) ●Inner diameter tolerance ±1/100mm ●SUS304 (stainless steel) ●Laser welding used ●Parallel pins used
These stainless steel cylinders are the same size (inner diameter) as the original cylinders. Instead of using standard stainless steel pipes, they are cold-forged for precision, achieving an inner diameter tolerance of ±1/100mm. This is the ultimate cylinder series, meticulously refined for wear resistance, as the key to bolt-action systems is efficiently accelerating the piston and ejecting air.
"Consideration of the connection point with the boss"
We pay close attention to the connection with the post body, which can be considered the neck of the custom cylinder.
While many cylinders use hollow split pins, we have determined that these do not offer the same level of durability, and have therefore adopted solid parallel pins.
In addition, by welding the joints, it is reborn as a tough specification that can withstand repeated cocking over a long period of time.
[Tapered cylinder head]
This part determines how efficiently the air pushed out of the cylinder can be converted into output.
At PDI, we attach the same importance to the inner barrel and chamber, and by using SUS303 and tapering the interior at an optimal angle, we have achieved output conversion that is greater than that of a regular shaped head.
[VC (vacuum) piston]
Uses PDI pistons, which were a best-seller in the APS series.
It is divided into four parts, with the head and body made of aluminum alloy, the ring made of POM, which has excellent sliding properties and is highly durable, as it comes into contact with the cylinder, and the rearmost part is made of carbon steel as it is the part that is subjected to the most stress and is attached to the sear.
By using the right material in the right place, we have created an ideal piston in terms of durability.
The head is equipped with a vacuum system that eliminates negative pressure. The concept of the vacuum system is...
By eliminating the "bullet pullback" that occurs after the BB is fired, the negative force is removed, allowing the bullet to fly straight.
For more information about the VC system, please see here.

*Note: Regarding POM part colors:
Due to a shortage of raw materials (POM), it is becoming difficult to procure materials.
The color of the piston ring (POM) of the product you receive will be either white (POM) or black (POM) depending on the situation.
[Spring guide]
The spring guide is a part that is susceptible to stress caused by the expansion and contraction of the spring when cocking, so a POM thrust ring is installed at the base to reduce the load directly applied to the guide base.
The entire stainless steel is machined to ensure high dimensional accuracy, and even the shaft is thoroughly polished to ensure smooth pump action.
*Please use end cap bolts that meet the standards sold by our company.
Since genuine bolts are made to original specifications, they have a smaller diameter than standard bolts, and if used with PDI cylinders, the threads may not fit. The cap bolt specifications for AW338 and MS338 are M4 x 12mm.
*Please use a large diameter spring for the VSR-10. Also, if you use a "90 spring for the VSR-10", there is a possibility that the output will be too high, so we recommend using an "85 spring for the VSR-10".
*Please note that the tapered cylinder head included in this set cannot be installed on a genuine cylinder.
Specifications
■Compatible models:
#ARES AW338, MS338
*Cylinders, cylinder heads, etc. are modified and improved every certain period (lot), so it may be difficult to assemble parts from older lots together with the latest lot. This can be resolved by assembling parts from the latest lots together.
※please note※
If you have customized your airsoft gun or replaced parts, be sure to measure the bullet speed using a bullet speed meter to ensure it is within the legal limit (possession of bullets over 0.98 J is prohibited). Also, be careful not to exceed the legal limit during the work.
