When the cartridge rim catches on the frame and cannot be removed smoothly,

please adjust by slightly filing the hammer's half-cock notch (second tier in the diagram above).

If you file too much, the bolt will not fully descend and will hit the cylinder, so be sure to file little by little while checking.
