If the cartridge rim gets caught in the frame and cannot be smoothly removed,

slightly file down and adjust the hammer's half-cock notch (second stage in the figure above).

If you file too much, the bolt will not drop completely and will hit the cylinder, so be sure to file little by little while checking.
