Tanaka Works SIG P228 Evolution II All Heavyweight Model Gun
Every P228 delivers exceptional reliability straight out of the box, and that absolute reliability is why it has been adopted by numerous law enforcement agencies. Its high quality is so impressive that the P226 is said to be the only industrially manufactured weapon that can rival the P228. Originally conceived as a compact version of the P226, the P228 features a 13-round 9mm magazine, easy recoil control, and an ergonomic grip and trigger placement, making it versatile enough for even women with small hands. Since 2005, the P229, which is compatible with cartridges other than 9mm, has taken over its features, but the P228's high performance and specialized 9mm ammunition remain undeniably reliable, and it continues to be used today.
This classic gun has been recreated as a firing blowback model gun. While the previous P228 Evolution 2 had a special lightweight resin slide, this model uses a heavy-weight resin frame and slide (the barrel is not heavy). While retaining the crisp, light blowback, this model allows for weighting and bluing.
The P228 retains the existing Evolution 2's improvements, incorporating a buffer system in the recoil guide to cushion the impact on the slide, while an elastomer hammer stop on the frame absorbs the impact of a falling hammer. Features include a stainless steel spring and coated pressed parts, making it resistant to fire and soiling. The engraving is a reproduction of the 1993 model, which became popular and began to be used by many institutions. This model is notable for its "W.GERMANY" engraving, despite being manufactured after the reunification of East and West Germany.
