M1851 Revolving Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber
Although it is advertised as being for ages 10 and up, the sixth installment of the Tokyo Marui Air Revolver Pro has been well-received for its quality that is completely geared towards adult enthusiasts.
The first five releases featured variations of the Colt SAA, but this new product is an airsoft gun version of a percussion revolver!
*Added 1/28: When unlocking this product, be sure to press both sides of the unlock latch at the end of the loading lever with your fingers as instructed. Trying to move the latch by pressing only one side may cause damage. Also, if you apply too much force to the latch when unlocking, the loading lever will try to move downward the moment it is released and free, applying more force than necessary to each part and possibly causing damage. Please operate gently when unlocking.
This is the industry's first airsoft gun, and was made using a completely new mold. It is a truly impressive gun that replicates the structure of the real gun with a new firing mechanism (patent pending).
First of all, in terms of performance, the unique new mechanism and air route provide stable bullet speed and accuracy, and the variable HOP allows it to fire not only 0.12g but also 0.2g BB bullets (of course, the bullet speed is for ages 10 and up).
Because it is air-cocked, you can fire each shot by simply operating the hammer and pulling the trigger, giving you the same shooting feel as the real thing.
The loading lever, a major feature of the M1851 Navy, moves realistically and perfectly recreates the bullet loading gimmick. The loading lever is made of metal, allowing you to enjoy the bullet loading process just like a real gun.
Like previous SAA models, it is equipped with a safety mechanism, ensuring safety. The safety, which resembles a screw, is cleverly placed on top of the trigger so as not to spoil the appearance, and when fully cocked, pressing the safety locks the trigger and hammer.
And what is particularly noteworthy is the amount of effort that has been put into its appearance.
It uses a special cylinder that reproduces the engraving on the real gun (the "Battle of Campeche" pattern) using laser marking, and is equipped with a wood-type grip with a wood grain finish that was highly praised by SAA.
The front sight is machined from brass, and the cylinder percussion cap is also reproduced in brass.
Furthermore, in terms of structure, it can be disassembled and reassembled into three parts, the frame, barrel, and cylinder, just like a real gun, allowing you to enjoy it just like a model gun.
While the majority of the exterior is made of resin, it is realistic, easy to operate, and features a fully-fledged structure. The internal frame is made of metal parts for increased rigidity. In true Tokyo Marui style, it is designed to withstand a variety of play styles.
This work really makes you think that Marui is finally getting serious about this product. The price has also gone up significantly, so it's no longer something that a 10-year-old kid can easily buy with their pocket money. The manufacturer's video also has a completely adult feel to it.
But then, who exactly is this product for? (Well, of course, the people developing it undoubtedly had a lot of fun.) I think this is a product aimed at people of all ages all over the world who simply love toys and guns.
When people enjoy their hobbies, they feel like they're 10 years old, and maybe that's one of the things we need in life.
In any case, the Air Revolver Pro series has been produced with such high quality that it could even be made into a gas revolver if they wanted to. Expectations are high for the direction they are taking, as they continue to forge their own path with air revolvers for ages 10 and up.
