The Cerakote is a Suzutomo coating. It's a perfect silver color that's not too bright.

The SIG P229 features a durable stainless steel slide for powerful ammunition, such as the .357SIG and .40SW. While its appearance and size are similar to the P228, which is chambered for the 9mm Parabellum, compatibility is limited, making it essentially a separate model.
Until then, pressed steel slides were the norm for SIG pistols, but with the introduction of the P229, stainless steel slides became the standard, and production of the P228 was discontinued and it has now been integrated into the P229.

Among the variations on the real gun is a "two-tone" model, in which the stainless steel slide is nickel-plated and the frame is finished in black carbon steel. This configuration takes advantage of stainless steel's excellent corrosion resistance, resistance to thermal fatigue, and ease of maintenance. However, making both the slide and frame out of stainless steel can lead to problems such as increased weight, seizure due to wear between the same materials, and increased processing costs, so the method of changing the material on only one side was adopted. It is also thought to have been effective as a "presentation" that visually emphasizes the use of stainless steel.

On the other hand, silver slides are not always well received by law enforcement agencies because the reflection of light makes sighting difficult and makes them more noticeable. Nevertheless, this style has proven successful, with some being adopted for .40 S&W double-action only models.
This time, we've created a half-silver model inspired by the "Two-tone" P229 as a firing blowback model gun. The slide, frame, and grip are made of heavy HW resin, while the barrel, which bears the most weight when firing, is made of special ABS. The distinctive silver slide is painted with the renowned Cerakote® finish, creating a subdued tone that balances well with the black frame.

Furthermore, metal parts such as the decocking lever, slide catch lever, and hammer are finished in silver plating to recreate the texture of a real gun. Even the grip screws have been changed to stainless steel, thoroughly incorporating the charm of a two-tone model.
Based on the P229 Evolution2 ALL Heavyweight model, it boasts high firing performance and a heavier slide for a more realistic feel. It also retains the same durability as the previous model, with a built-in buffer system in the recoil guide and an elastomer hammer stop on the frame to absorb the impact of a falling hammer.
Combining realistic appearance with stable operation, this is truly the definitive collector's model.
