The SIG MPX Copperhead (3.5 inch) is an ultra-compact 9mm personal defense weapon (PDW) developed by SIG. Featuring the shortest 3.5-inch barrel in the MPX series, it is designed as a model that prioritizes extremely high portability and operability.

The operating system uses a short-stroke gas piston + rotating bolt and has controls similar to AR-style rifles, achieving high reliability and ease of use. It also features ambidextrous selectors, magazine release, bolt release, and charging handle, making it easy for both left and right-handed shooters to use.

The upper receiver has a monolithic structure designed to prioritize compactness. While its expandability for handguard replacement is limited, it significantly reduces size and weight.

Models equipped with a stabilizing brace can be folded and extended, making them ideal for use as close-quarters firearms, such as in vehicles or carried in bags. Since it uses 9mm ammunition, the recoil is relatively light, and although the muzzle flash is large, it excels in close-range handling and control.

This model is the most extreme embodiment of the "more than a handgun, less than a rifle" balance characteristic of the MPX series, and is particularly popular among users who prioritize close-quarters defense, tactical applications, and portability.
