2027 Made-to-Order Product
A masterpiece of French action cinema released in the 1990s, depicting the bond between a lonely assassin and a young girl. Appearing as the protagonist's enemy is a ruthless and unscrupulous narcotics investigator. Loving classical music while indulging in drugs, his figure exuding an insane madness is truly worthy of being called a "fallen investigator." Even now, more than 30 years after its release, he remains etched in the memories of many fans as a powerful villain in cinematic history.
One of the items symbolizing his bizarre personality is a custom revolver based on the S&W M629, featuring an extremely short barrel. Despite being a large revolver that uses powerful .44 Magnum rounds, it has a silhouette so drastically shortened that it defies common sense. We have reproduced the intimidation and eerie charm emitted by its unbalanced design with Tanaka's unique Pegasus gas gun.
In this model, we focused on the long ejector rod and non-fluted cylinder. Based on the M629 Classic Hunter long-barrel model from around 1990, we determined the specifications of each part, considering it a custom product where the 4-inch barrel of the standard model was chopped to approximately 3.3 inches. The distinctive barrel was pursued by cutting and processing the barrel of the standard Tanaka Works model to match the shape in the movie. The deeply hollowed muzzle was also machined from stainless steel. A newly designed steel part was adopted for the front sight, and by applying an anti-rust treatment, we expressed a sharp, hard texture. The cylinder adopts a non-fluted specification different from the usual, reproducing a unique appearance. For the finish, we applied "Velour Chrome Plating" to express the hard shine unique to stainless steel. In addition, weights are built into the inside of the Hogue-type rubber grips to increase the sense of weight when held in hand. Furthermore, we paid close attention to the details, such as the semi-wide trigger machined into a dedicated shape and the S&W trademark placed on the lower part of the thumbpiece.
And this work is equipped with the newly developed "Aero Pull System" in addition to the Pegasus System. It is a new mechanism that aims to improve muzzle velocity and straight-line trajectory stability without increasing gas consumption by reviewing the flow without changing the gas output. While it is a fixed hop-up, it is set to recommend 0.25g BB pellets, pursuing a powerful and flat trajectory compatible with heavy pellets. A unique snub-nose magnum wrapped in strangeness and ferocity. Based on respect for the movie and meticulous research, we will deliver this special piece that pursues the degree of appearance reproduction and actual shooting performance as a gas gun through "complete made-to-order production."
