Colt Python .357 Magnum 4-inch R-Model Heavyweight Gas Gun

The real firearm debuted in 1955 as a high-end revolver using .357 Magnum ammunition. The Python, with its many distinctive features such as its shape and finish that redefined the concept of revolvers, has several variations.

This groundbreaking model incorporates Tanaka's unique gas revolver mechanism, the "Pegasus System," which successfully recreates a slim grip by housing the gas tank within the cylinder.

The "R-Model" transformation has led to adjustments in most of the key parts of Tanaka's conventional models, resulting in a definitive Python gas revolver that faithfully and completely reproduces the Colt action of the real firearm.
