■ Cheapness isn't everything, here's why we recommend Guren, the best value for money
The Guren barrels are positioned as a "low-priced" model within da Vinci, but that doesn't mean they are low in performance. As seen in the "1" and "2" versions, some of them have a concept approaching that of high-end barrels. Here, we will explain the differences between the "Guren 1" and "Guren 2," which require particular explanation.

■ "Kuren 1" maintains quality while choosing ease of purchase, while "Kuren 2" adds tapered processing that exceeds its price.
Tracing the history of barrels made by custom manufacturers, we see prices soaring from the era of brass barrels to the heyday of stainless steel barrels. Shortly after overseas manufacturers entered the market, inferior barrels from those manufacturers began appearing at extremely low prices. Japanese manufacturers also began to develop a low-cost strategy to compete with these powerful overseas competitors. While the low-cost barrels that emerged as a result of this trend are now mainstream, we, as a latecomer, have also found ourselves pursuing both low-cost and high-end strategies. Simply offering cheap products is not enough for us. Therefore, we released "Guren 1," a low-cost barrel designed with the concept of "above-average performance," and "Guren 2," a low-cost barrel with a tapered finish, aiming for "further power improvement."
By the way, we also have a stainless steel barrel called "Raizen" which is the third arrow of the "highest quality." However, we would like to first gain recognition for the excellent cost performance of "Guren" and establish a firm foothold in the market.

■What is the tapered processing of Guren 2?

The tapered design of the muzzle entrance is "large and bowl-shaped." This allows for smooth airflow. Tests using a 363mm gun showed a 10% increase in output compared to the Guren 1 (test results using a da Vinci).
However, there are some disadvantages to this, such as it being more difficult to process .

■The difficulty of cutting work is understood because we do the cutting in-house

Da Vinci uses a completely in-house production system, and the barrels are machined using a CNC multi-tasking machine. The muzzle processing for the Guren 1 is limited to chamfering, so it's not a heavy burden. It only takes a few seconds. However, machining the taper of the Guren 2 takes many times longer and generates the major problem of chips (shavings).

I chose exaggerated chips in the image to make it easier to understand, but if these chips remain attached to the barrel and processing continues, scratches and dents will form. Once that happens, it's finished. It will no longer be usable as a product. The defect rate will increase, which will increase costs. Since Guren 2 is produced with these risks in mind, I hope you understand that the price has increased somewhat.

■The appeal of Guren 1 is not just its low price
So is Guren 2 better in all respects? Of course, there are also cases where Guren 1 shines. We can promise you "reliable low prices" and "high quality," so we recommend it in the following situations:

・The power output has increased too much, so you want to detune it using a barrel. ・You can't afford a barrel, so you want to choose a good one at a lower price. ・Replacing the barrel of an inexpensive gun. ・As brass barrels, which are common in genuine guns, are consumables, you want to use them as a replacement.

There are many uses that take advantage of its low price. If you can find such uses, there are many situations where Guren 1 is a good fit. In fact, there are many people who prefer Guren 1. In fact, the number of units manufactured and sales of Guren 1 exceed those of Guren 2.

I have briefly explained the differences between Guren 1 and 2. Although it falls into the category of low-cost barrels, the quality and concept are not inferior to high-end products.
This is a series we are proud of. Please add it to your custom concept and let us know what you think.
