The ultimate hybrid .357 Magnum "smolt revolver" combines the precision barrel of a COLT Python with the superior trigger of an S&W M19.
The name is a combination of the names S&W and COLT, but there are no rules and it is also known by other names such as Smythson.
The same goes for the gun itself, which has no set rules. Gunsmiths in the United States use a variety of techniques to create these hybrid models, and naturally, the specifications vary from one to the next.
Among them, Bill Davis of California is well known. Apart from the standard type with a locking ball installed in the yoke, Bill Davis's early works, which involved an elaborate locking mechanism at the tip of the ejector rod, are highly rare models.
This time, the previously released and well-received Smolt has been given a stainless steel plating, creating a stainless steel version of the Smolt revolver based on the S&W M66.
